Album Info:I always liked the Erie-Lackawanna. It was a friendly railroad, that unlike the Penn Central, had clean trains and good tracks. As these photos illustrate, I spent a lot of time at Hoboken Terminal and riding the local lines that radiated from there.

Description:  GE U34CHs at Hoboken Terminal in August 1977. CR Bicentennial 1776 had been E-L 3351 and was the only GE U34CH to receive Conrail lettering. It had been rebuilt by GE following a wreck and returned painted in a Bicentennial paint scheme with Conrail lettering and the number 1776.
