GM 1975 |
Description: |
Although Conrail eventually stopped using electric locomotives on freight trains, at the time of its creation the thought was that Conrail might extend its electrified freight lines west to Pittsburgh. General Motors even built two demonstrator locomotives (1975 was an EMD GM6C and 1976 was a larger GM10B) and 1975 is seen just outside the Amtrak station in Harrisburg in February 1977. |
