The motive power for NE84/87 resting at East Side Yard in September 1977. This former Lehigh Valley EMD GP38-2 has been "re-lettered" for the D&H by (1) placing a band of two-inch wide tape through the massive LEHIGH VALLEY on the long hood, (2) adding, again in tape, a 7 in front of the 322 on the cab side, (3) adding small D&H stencils on the short hood and (4) painting out the LV on the front and back diamonds and painting in D&H. A cheap and cheery job. |
